PRACTICAL ASSISTANCE FOR DISADVANTAGED CHILDREN IN MALAWI AND THEIR FAMILIES

A donation of £155 would cover the cost of a bespoke wheelchair for a disabled child and their travelling expenses to the workshop in Blantyre, which is the only facility in the entire country currently providing this service.

An annual donation of £23 would provide a child at primary school with shoes, school uniform and educational materials for three terms.

An annual donation of £11 would provide a pre-school child with shoes and clothes for a year.

We also welcome contributions towards our reserve fund to cover the cost of secondary education or vocational training as appropriate.

A donation of £10 would cover the cost of 10 portable cooking stoves.

A donation of £45 would allow a family to purchase two portable solar lights, one of which can also be used as a torch, and a basic mobile phone.

A donation of £30 would enable a family to establish or expand a small business venture and increase their household earnings.

A regular monthly donation of £14 would cover the average sponsorship required for a family, including three liaison visits each year.

All prices are regularly reviewed and updated to reflect fluctuations in the exchange rate with the Malawian Kwacha (MWK). Every single donation is greatly appreciated and goes a long way in Malawi, while regular donations allow us to provide our beneficiaries with much-needed continuity of care. Simply download the appropriate forms below or donate securely online.

Sustainability We reach children with unmet needs and deliver practical, long-lasting solutions, not unsustainable quick fixes.

Responsibility All administrative roles in England are undertaken on a purely voluntary basis, so all donations benefit recipients in Malawi.

Accountability We will, on request, provide our supporters with visual evidence to show exactly what their donation has been spent on.

3 compelling reasons for supporting ChildCare Malawi

What your donation could be spent on

Donation of gifts in kind

“Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could do only a little.”        EDMUND BURKE

Reasonably new laptops and unlocked smartphones (with chargers) in good working order would be very useful.  Any devices that are surplus to Juliet's requirements in connection with her family liaison visits could be sold in Malawi to raise valuable funds for our projects.
